The time has come to announce the next big LAN. I am proud to present GBLAN's Big Ol' LAN Party: Part Deux scheduled Friday, August 13 5:00 PM through Sunday, August 15 Noon. The LAN will be held at the Beja Shriners at 1950 Bond Street in Green Bay.

We're making this event the best one we've ever done. We have a new venue that is slightly larger and has less restrictions (you can bring in food!). The LAN is going to last a solid 43 hours for plenty of gaming and entertainment, also making this our longest lasting LAN party ever. We are bringing in a big 36 kVa generator to supplement the facility's power so we will have plenty of power available to us. We are planning several events including tournaments and a raffle during the event. Pizza will be served Saturday night to keep everyone fed and gaming. And best of all, we've decreased the price from the last event from $30 at the door to the new low price of only $20 at the door. All of these things combined make this LAN event one of our best values ever! We've haven't decided on which tournaments to run yet, but will post that information as details are finalized. Please help spread the word and you can sign up just like any other LAN. Thanks everyone!

Ok guys, I've just confirmed the next GBLAN to be on July 24th. This will be the final GBLAN event before the Big Ol' LAN in August, so use this as your opportunity to get your games installed and patched before the big event! I want to see a good crowd at this one, so please sign up, and more importantly, SHOW UP!

Next LAN posted for June 26th. Games will include Vegas 2, Supreme Commander 2 and <insert game here>. No CoD4. Post other ideas/suggestions here!

Wow. I've got to hand it to you guys, you really turned out for this one. Here's some stats from the April 10 LAN: We had a total of 23 gamers at this event, including several first-timers: Swayye, Nitewolf, ThePunisher and Wesquin. We also had several returning old-schoolers show: Serpic0, Necroman, LordSoth, Jolly_Roger and Master_Blaster. Games included CoD4, Gears of War, UT2K4, Rainbow Six Vegas 2, Demigod, Quake 3 and FlatOut 2. Unfortunately we were unable to get Mount and Blade Warband working properly, maybe we can try again next time.

Following that, the next LAN is scheduled for May 1st at the normal time and place. You know what to do, sign up, tell your friends, and discuss which games you would like to play. I am planning on picking up a new gigabit switch, so we should be 100% gigabit at this next LAN. Absolutely can't wait for May 1st, hope to see you there!

Drove by the LAN yesterday. They are doing alot of road construction in the area, including on Shawano and Military. They had the main driveway into the parking lot closed off, so you may have to enter the back entrance on Military Ave. Just an FYI.

The next LAN is tentatively scheduled for March 6th. I will let you know if the date changes. What theme do you want this LAN to be? RTS? WW2? SciFi? Medieval/Fantasy? Racing? Retro? Let me know...
