bump, picked up alienware and patriot memory as sponsors over the last couple weeks. also defect checked out the venue with me last night to make sure power was in order. he says we are good to go.

I would consider all swag to be bonus. Concentrate on winning the tournaments for pride.

We've had polls up for probably 6 weeks now for nominating and voting on games for tournaments. CS:S was not nominated, so will not be a tournament at the Big LAN. You can find the final poll for tournaments here.

Besides, the last time we did a CS:S tournament (KILAN 8, Nov. 2005), about half of the signed up teams did not show. Those players who did show up were pissed at ME because those other teams did not show up. It was basically a nightmare, and a good portion of the CS-only players were poor sports and hard to work with. Very doubtful we'll ever be doing a CS:S tournament in the future, it's just not fun for those involved.

I agree. People get too heated in CS:S tournies for some reason, especially deathmatch. Gun Game Elimination is a little more friendly, but still, there is just something about CS:S that brings out the worst in people.

And gamers who tend to play CS:S and refuse to play anything else usually aren't very nice.

You guys should see the several emails and private message I received from that guy. He also made a comment on our Steam Group page. Also check out the steam profile. 1221.3 hours of CS:S on record, with almost nothing else :crying:

Ok last gigabit switch was dead on arrival. Just ordered a different one. Trojan scored us a sponsor today, and it looks like TrendNET will be sponsoring as well. Things are going well and getting pumped for the Big LAN! Check out the GBLAN this weekend if your in town, get your games and files ahead of time. Less waiting, more gaming at the Big LAN!
