Also picked up a sponsorship from TN Games - they will be sending us a 3rd Space Tactile Gaming Vest to give away!

Well everyone, we are now only two weeks away from the Big Ol' LAN: Part Deux! We've recently announced the tournaments (Street Fighter 4, Age of Empires 2, Gears of War and Battlefield 2) based on your votes, we've released the LAN schedule, and we've received lots of sponsorship packages including lots of swag and a few really cool prizes. The next two weeks are going to fly by, and we'll be sitting at the Shriners playing games for three days in no time! I'll be sending out a few more updates and emails as we head down the home stretch to the LAN.

Thanks again to all our sponsors for supporting this event and making it possible to give away some cool stuff. Can't wait to see you on Friday the 13th!

GBlan Staff and participants,

This was my first GBlan party, and I really enjoyed it. I just wanted to give a special thanks to those that took the time to organize everything. It must be a lot of work. I hope to see fimiliar faces at other GBlan parties. Once again . .

Thank you!

My favorite part of the evening was providing the definition of what a "courtesy flush" is, and how it should apply to all future shitting situations while @ GBLAN LAN parties.

Had a great time, the venue was really nice this time, 19 person Blur was amazing, all the SC2 matches going on, and TF2 was a nice change of pace.

I never got to play against the BF2 bots.

DUKES BOOBS & NO MORE DAN FTW.

Honestly, I'd rather have more gaming and cut out the tournaments. They really subtract the amount of time we all spend playing games as a large group. I think we spend more time gaming as a group at normal GBLAN's, and that's what I think most of us come to the LAN's for in the first place. Each tournament basically had 5 teams of people, with 2 of them having actual experience in the game or desiring to win. The others were convinced into playing or just wanted to play a solid game with a decent amount of people. Many of the good (high body count) hours of the LAN were spend arranging these tournaments.

We were lucky to get 10 or 11 people in TF2 for a bit, other than that I didn't see any large player games being played aside from some BF2 bot smashing (which was fun) and Blur (I don't understand why people like that game). I did see some SC2 being played here and there. My row of friends spent most of the LAN playing Sol Survivor and TF2 amongst us, since there wasn't much else going on. I hate to say it, but I think I have more fun at small LAN's with friends than the big events, there just isn't enough consistent group gaming going on. It's always kind of been an issue with larger LAN's, nothing you can fully avoid, and maybe it's related to the current game selection. Some of the previous KI's we would play UT for hours with nearly full servers, I haven't seen this kind of activity in a while.

Just my opinion, take it for what it is.
