CS is fun when everyone is about the same caliber. It sucks when you play with everyone about equal + 1 or 2 guys that just rape.

Lead and Gold is free to download and play on steam this weekend. I highly suggest we give this a try. The key point is having people take the 2 min to actually start the download, then run the installer once it finishes downloading, PRIOR TO THE LAN.

Great LAN everyone! We had 21 people show up to prepare for the Big LAN and get their game on. Games included Lead and Gold, Vegas 2, Age 2, Demigod, CS:S, Blur, Alien Swarm and Supreme Commander 2. Great LAN, only downside was the internet outages. Myself and a few others spent at least an hour getting steam working to play lead and gold with everyone else. I know you're doing what you can, just wanted to make note. I'm willing to tether my phone and share internet as well, I'll have it working for the next LAN. At worst, I can hook up to an individual PC and let it get steam updates.

are we against borrowing the unsecured wifi in the building?

im not sure what unsecured you are talking about, but the other one I was normally using, I'm having trouble getting a reliable signal and I think he changed his wpa password

its an unsecured linksys, no protection. i was able to use it saturday parked in the parking lot facing mcdonalds. if no ones against it, we should pin point it.
