Sandrock is finalizing the schedule soon, which will include the tournament approx scheduled times. Last big ol lan we experienced near 100 percent attendee participation in tournaments. This is a trend I would like to see continue. If you are concerned about getting rolled by a better team, DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT! In most cases, you are likely near the same talent level as another team that will participate. Sure you might get knocked out of the tournament early, but we can't run these things if people don't participate.

In short, I'm asking each and every one of you to try to participate in every tournament, even if it isn't your exact cup of tea. There is a certain entertainment factor of a two complete nub teams taking each other on. We need your team to fill a bracket slot.

If you don't have a team ready to go, I will personally help you get setup with a team so you can play. We will be filling brackets as people arrive, and arranging matchmaking.

Just a recap of the tournaments

Street Fighter 4 1v1, either 2 or 3 rounds to win, haven't finalized that yet.

Age of empires 2, RTS game, runs on a calculator, but is deep and simple at the same time.

Battlefield 2 5v5 on 16 player maps.

Gears of War King of the Hill mode. 4v4

I will probably play 2 or 3 of those, I will not be playing Street Fighter. Ask why, and its the same feeling I get with CSS.

of the probably 40 or so people that will play street fighter, 20 of them will have played a total of 10 min or less in their lifetime. Step up on the game pad and mash some buttons.

The only one i will play is Gears of War. The rest don't really appeal to me. Maybe SF4.

This is the exact opposite attitude that we are looking for. At the very least we want to make sure that the shooter titles have full teams available. We can make decent brackets out of the street fighter and age tourneys without massive participation, but we need to have everyone load in for the larger team games.

BF2 isn't all that fun to me. I love being a pilot but that is about it. AoE2 is boring imo. I will participate in the GoW and SF4 tournaments.
